A large percentage of our work is tiled roofing related, mostly strip and replacement of domestic properties. We use many different makes, the prominent brands being Redland, Marley & Sandtoft who cover many profiles of larger concrete tiles and colours as well as concrete plain tiles. In and around Sussex, clay tiles appear on many properties. We can price for a wide arrange of clay tiles, differing in colour, texture & size. These products and fittings are produced by Goxhill, Imery and Keymer, while more expensive than concrete, aesthetically a finished roof they can really enhance a building. Quality reclaimed materials, especially local clay peg tiles can also be sourced from our contacts at Independent Roofing who have a large stock and extensive knowledge of this field.

Our new tiled roofs are finished with care and attention to detail, we only use good quality materials, cutting no corners with cheap and less durable alternatives. Due to the exposed nature of the coast line we mainly work in we pay particular attention to fixing of tiles, ridge & hips. It feels as if storms are fiercer and occur more often than in previous years so going overboard with fixings gives us confidence in the security of our roofs as well as the customer.

When pricing a roof, many contractors ignore associated problems such as rendering, chimney stacks, party walls, guttering, timber-works & plastics cladding. We do our best to bring any pressing problems outside of the roof itself to the attention of customer including the extras in our quote. Where there are unknowns we will flag this up, for instance covered timber-works. Hopefully this transparency will result in a clear and concise quote where both sides of the agreement know where they stand.
